VALERIE’S STORY

Nelia

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2017 and underwent chemo from July to September. I had originally heard about cooling caps in my support group, but although my new business was growing it was not enough to supplement chemotherapy, radiation and scalp cooling.

This is when my long-term friend stepped in and set up a crowdfunding page on ‘Go Fund Me’ to help pay for my treatment. Unfortunately, in spite of scalp cooling, I lost the majority of my hair 2 weeks after my first round of chemo, however I would still absolutely recommend Paxman Scalp Cooling. I have had a hair stylist tell me she has worked with women after chemo and she has never seen this much hair. Although I felt I had to wear something on my head at all times until 2 months after chemo ended I do believe it gives you a head start on the regrowth process.
